I started building DIY lights using cobs last year after being suggested that route on these forums.

I am now onto my 3rd light . This one is a dual spectrum veg lamp . With 5700k and 3000k eb Gen 2 strips.

For this build I gutted an old fluorescent lamp and used the steel frame to mount my aluminum flats below.

Damn been looking for over 5k cct. Ended up getting 5k f series... Wish i saw these but tbh all my spares are series f so w/e

Recommending the Samsung strips but I had the same problem as you , I couldn’t find any over 5k.

I’m super pumped to observe the effects this blue has ! I’m expecting some decently tight internodes .

Very cool project. I have a veg area that could really use this sort of upgrade. No specific question right now...but as I learn, I will have.
