Mutation?

Hello, I am posting pictures of the problem but they may not be the best, basically where the first female pistils should be appearing (2 weeks into 12/12 at the moment) there are new nodes appearing and very few pistils, these pistils are just in the top part of the plants, I think all/most of the lower sections have no pistils at all.

Any help will be greatly appreciated :)

I've been growing for years now, and this has NEVER happened, I've always seen an abundance of pistils after 2 weeks of flowering also, which I have not seen on these plants yet, that's where the assumptions come from...

OK, from seed?
Could be 2 things.
Pheno
oopsy, wrong seed fell in the mix at the breeder - happens.

Don't sweat it.....just because something new happened.....doesn't mean it's going to be bad! Again, patience.

Maybe, but 4 of these "oopsy" moments would had to have happened one after the other lol

No it doesn't mean bad but I'd like to know why....I'm being patient but I'm running out of smoke so I don't know how long that's likely to last haha
 
Those little mutations are perfectly normal around and before flowering, apical dominance, undiferentiated cells plus a load of flowering hormones can lead to stuff like this.

Patience, as others have stated, would be best here.

When my plants start flowering the first pistils i see are about three quaters the way up the plant just under the new growth and then they start working their way down the plant, some bottom nodes dont even get pistils till half way through flowering if their heavily shaded and its a tall plant.

Reasons for late flowering in your stage could be from adding too much ferts or some other stress but idk there.

Thanks, I am just waiting now to see what happens next, have cut down on nutes a bit alright in case it was that.
