mushrooms growing in soil???

Dont know if it's a huge deal or not. To me it seems more natural than anything so it cant be that harmful im assuming. Theres about 4 mushrooms 1 is about 3 inches long and others are 1inch. Total is 4. Let me know your thoughts.

Forgot my question. ......is this harmful or is it ok and i can let it be. Should i take the mushrooms out?

I had a mushroom grow out the drain-hole of a pot of Ocean Forest once, it was pretty neat. Like Doc said, I would definitely view it as a positive -- you got some good healthy soil there!

I use a myco's/fungus dry amendment when I make up my water only soil that has produced mushrooms from time to time.....Not going to hurt your plant at all......Be happy as you have a nice living soil going on. That is a great thing!

Yeah i use happy frog but been re using the same bag. Thanks though bro and yeah theres quite a bit of mushrooms growing.

Not necessarily a problem, but for a mushroom to fruit and stay fruiting it needs cool damp condition usually, so you could be overwatering a little. Probably just fine and you happen to have a mushroom and the mycelium is helping your roots. If you see mycelium on the soil surface, that could be another indicator of too much water or too cool.

I do feel a water a bit much. I try to drench the soil. Maybe i should just water till 15% run off.

What????? It will produce it's own spores.....how are they dangerous?


On watering.......I water a metered amount everyday at lights on.....I want to get O2 to the roots as much as I can!! The amount I water carries me exactly to the next day at lights on....It can be done a little later, but that simply changes the timing.......When you water to carry over for days.....you can get problems (please note I said "can" not "will")...I run W.O. soil,,,,,,organic = NO run through!!!! I did the daily watering bit when I did synthetics too......Why a run through? Wash away salts??? Your nutrient is either too salty or the maker says to. If the maker said to....They simply want to steal your money by you using more product by pouring it away! H&G says to..yet they say they are not a salt build up nutrient....Get my point!
BTW- drip clean from them is a rip off!!! Turns your soil into a brick ....

I compost my leaves in worm bins.....No bad mold! Only good worm castings!
