I was recomended to get a 48000 btu mini split on here an I was wondering if multi zone or single zone was a better option is one more efficient than the other and is one cheaper overall than the other?

sometimes the air handlers can be pricey. sometimes you need 5 air handlers because of the op design.

Single Zone is a lot easier to install and maintain. More linesets mean more potential for leaky flares.
minisplitwarehouse.com sells a Midea 4 ton that is a ceiling or wall mount. I have a couple and they are really good for the money.
The benefit to multizone is you can have cool air coming from more than one spot in your room. So for big rooms this provides more even cooling.

Thats the model I have, mine is a little older though and only 16 SEER, this one is 17.8 so a little more efficient.
It will mount on the ceiling or on the wall down low by the floor.
Also they have a 5 ton if you want some room for the future, side lighting perhaps.

My educated guess is 1.5 tons.
To be precise what you need is J Manual calculations, that figures in all the typical factors. You could google manual J calculator and run some numbers or just guess lol.

I don't really do this type of work with all my AC math being grow related.
