multi. problems first grow

i just recently Planted these in fox farm ocean soil. a couple days into it i notice some probelms. yellowish new leaves, edges of leaves are curling/ flaccid. Im almost 100% sure i overwatered my clones to begin with. i received the clones put them in the soil and began watering till water came out of the bottom of the plant. a week later the soil is still very moist there are 4 in an uncirculated grow tent. i have put a cO2 generator in there, with no fan yet.
i havent added any veg nutes yet thinking the soil already has enough to sustain the clones for atleast the first week. Im planing on putting these clones on the SCOG cycle so hopefully they will be ready within the next couple of weeks

Im using a 90watt multi spectrum light
2 25watt cfls and 1 25watt blue led.
fox farm ocean soil
5 gallon square pots
canna nutrients (veg)

That shine and curl looks like nutrient burn I hear fox farm is too strong but Ive never used it. Anyone else?

yes the woil has enough nutes so sustain them for awhile, but if they are in 5 gal pots and just placed in theri with a small root system you might have over watered dont water again till the pot is light to pick up. i dont thin it is a DEF, cuz the soil has nutes. the only thing i can think of is a nute lock out and thats why the signs of a nute DEF. it could be a lock out do to ph. do you know your ph

no i haven't taken the ph because i havent watered sense the first watering how else can i test the ph without watering again?

Basically you get yourself some filtered water, scoop up a nice chunk of that soil, mix it all together, and then test that. Google "soil pH check" and you should find a good how to.

It is definitely over fertilization and/or pH imbalance.

You do one big watering. Get a good 5x the gallons of water to soil, pH balance that water at 6.5, and just run it through very slowly. Do 20% of the water, then let it rest a minute, then do another 20%, and repeat. This will leach out nutrients and salts and balance the soil pH. The next time around you will want to feed the soil with a good amount of organics and something to help increase your brix rates. Slowly begin using your nutrients again once new growth is present and healthy.
