Moving on up

So I just bought a house, I have possibly a 17' x 25' room. I plan on utilizing the 17' wall and about a 6' wide space to expand my growing capabilities. What kind of a set up should I use?
Currently I'm in a cabinet, small but efficient. The place I'm moving into, nobody's lived in for a year, so I need to set it up fast so that there is no question about the power I'm using.... ie. the electric company. Would a water based system be better? Should I stick to soil?
It's kind of out in the country too, so going outside might even be a possibility. A friend suggested moving lights too. Would that give me a higher yield?
I guess I'm just looking for suggestions. What would you do with a 17' x 6' x 6' space? Without worry about too much smell, or using too much power.

Do like 2 or 3 Ebb and Flow tables. Either 4x8 or 4x4. With 2 600 watters on a 4x8 tables, you should pull around 2.5-3lb dry per table!

I would worry about power, and I would consider having an electrician slap in some 240v outlets in that room, if it is able to take that much power!

Nice. I was actually going to wire in x3 220v circuits, x2 110v circuit. 2 220v C was for lights, the other one is for vent and exhaust. The 110v C's were for fans and accessories. A nearby friend is going to hook me up with some solar panels to reduce the drag on the on-grid circuits, possibly powering the entire room on just the panels. I have done electrical work before... rewired couple of houses, I'll do all the wiring myself. It'll save on up front costs too.

Good Idea with the ebb n flows. I'll probably use 4x8... I have the room.
