More than a newbie...

I just join this site today but i read the post on here daily I'm what you would call a new booty on here. I'm ready to prepare for the journey they call growth. OUTDOOR growth that is. all i know is basic seeds water and light looking too upgrade my knowledge to product something decent enough to post. More information I in the sierra Nevada area little money to get start but i do have access to a hydroponics grow store in my area but I want to do it outdoors. Might just get some nutrients and whatever ya'll suggest I invest in. The information I'm searching for is just a simple outdoor set-up in the mountains from seed to harvest type tips. I have a location picked and multiply seeds collected from strains I smoked. But that's where the ball drops. Now you pick it up and run with. don't get it twisted I have some knowledge but it's like saying I'm a doctor but never worked on a patience type shit.

what is the soil like out there? i've heard its hard to grow in mountain soil

hmmmmm.......if other vegatation grows in that elevation, the so will weed. I did read here somewhere that different strains do well in higher elevations. reading and asking questions will get you ready for 2010! good luck!

For now I'm just getting my book knowledge up on ph levels and light and feeding. I got seeds from past bags of what I think will produce some fire. I feel real good and 2010 should be the year I make the change. My focus will be the getting the soil prepared dont plan to put them in the ground. I plan to start them indoors in jiffy-pots than transplant to keep them in 5 gallon buckets. I get goosebumps just thinking about it. It's my new hobby collecting all the chemicals to produce higher yields and just learning all this greenthumb shit is exciting my life. My only fear is when it's time to harvest I don't want to fuck up my hard work so... Knowledge is the key and lucky is for suckas.
