Mold ?

Here is where I am now. I put my seed between wet paper towels , on a plate covered with a plate. Set them on a board on my heat mat. 2 days at 90 F in the dark. I checked them this afternoon and most of the seed had cracked, but not much of a tap root to be seen. My PROBLEM is I saw LOTS of tiny specks like mold on bread, on my paper towels. Didn't know what else to do, so I planted them in my potting soil. Plan to put them under a dome and cut the flor's on . I got a 5 tube 48" that should work fine. Afraid of the mold thing. Any experience ?

What type of heat mat are you using? Is it intended for the germination process?
Because 90 F seems high...

i use a soup bowl and 2 paper towels but first i get my seeds and on the pointy side of the seed i give it a rub on some grit paper then put them on a damp paper towel in the soup bowl then cover with one more paper towel i then put them on top of the fridge and go back to them in 6hours and thay have sprouted..... as simple as that....no heat no dark ;-)
