Mold! Water cure? Honey oil?

So some of my buds have mold? ive been hearing that water curing kills the mold but how exactly does the water kill it? and can i still water cure if all the buds are already dry? How about making honey oil with the buds using butane? im sure the butane will kill the mold since its like alcohol. thanks!!!

When the buds are soaked in water to cure it pulls out of the stuff that is water soluble. So mold, chlorophyll, sugars, starches are all pulled out of the plant material while the resin glands stay because they don't dissolve in water.

Something you can try is getting about a cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide, put it in a container with about 4 gal. of water. Soak your buds in it for about 2-5 minutes. Then rinse it off, hang it up and put a fan on it to dry off the excess water.

Water kills mold the same way it kills everything else that isn't adapted to living in it, by depriving it of oxygen.

Butane also deprives anything in it of oxygen, and isobutane (the type used in lighters and for BHO) also kills things by freezing them which causes cell membranes and walls to rupture.

I just saw a video that said if you put about a cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide into about 4 gal of water you can give your fresh trimmed buds a bath in it to kill off certain molds. Then you just hang it up and put a fan on it to dry off the excess water and dry/cure as normal.

I've tried this and works pretty well too. Any excess mold you do have on your plants hardens up when its drying and turns into nothing if that makes sense
