Mold in the air?

A little confused right now. We have about 5 clones in a dome and in the room the dome is in, the RH is only 40%… In the dome, it is about 99%…. The dome has vents on it and one of the vents was opened for about 12 hours by accident and then there was fuzzy white stuff on the outside of the cubes…

There's this Hydrogen Peroxide stuff called Ho2o I believe and I put it into a folliar bottle and strayed it, which is supposed to kill the mold… Right now I'm cleaning the dome and took them out temporarily.

What else should I do/look out for? Would airing out the room help? I don't understand why mold is growing so easily when it's only 40% in the room.

Thanks!!!

Ditch the dome. It just softens your cuts.

Dip fresh cuts in antiwilt if you must. Dont blow fans on them.

They might droop a bit first few days but unless light, heat or airflow is too intense you'll not need a dome.

Yes this is common, just spray h2o2/water on them, they will be fine. I keep my spray bottle right next to the clone box at all times. that type mold should not spread to other plants, it will stay in the box

Heat mats speed rooting, once roots pop shut it off.

What about humidity? They are still super small and I know they like humidity when they are small… Also, please take a look at the pictures. The white stuff comes back every day and I've been spraying it and actually spraying some in the actual cube, but I notices the black stuff on the tape…

I've never dealt with mold much, is that black mold? Should I look out for something and ditch them if necessary???

Thanks!

take the plastic off the cube. What about the humidity? how much peroxide did you put in the bottle of water? maybe up it a capfull..
Obviously too much humidity. Ditching the dome gets harder the softer your cuts get from being in the high humidity dome.

I might add that rapid rooters are ten times better than rockwool which is a favorite of powdery mildew.

I only put in 3 ML per liter in the folliar because thats what it said to do…

Good to know about the rock wool! Thanks!

Will ditching the dome make it easier to spread though?

Really the environmental issues make it easy to spread.

Low humidity allows spores to spread

High humidity allows spores to grow

PM loves acidic mediums, thus you should pH any spray h2o2 treatment to 7.5 - 8.0.

If you really want to stop this crap, just dip the cubes in an Eagle 20 solution, pH it to 5.8.

have you dipped your clones in eagle 20 before? that shit is so toxic I would think it would kill the cuttings on contact

What about dipping it in H020?

Do you think I should air out the room or would it not make that much of a difference for getting rid of the spors? What about cleaning it more? Its already really clean, but where are these spores coming from?

Lots.

It's never given me a hint of problems. Ph your dips to 7.5 - 8.0, dip burns usually result from ph.

I drench them and put them under light. No issues ever.

Will help with humidity but not if the dome is the cause of humidity issues.

Spores are always going to be present, fix the environmental issues so it can't grow.

Avoid cool temperatures, often this happens when lights go off and temps drop. This coupled with a lack of ventilation is bad news.

Nice!
yeah We would mix up 3 systemics together(used to). Avid, floramite, and eagle20(2.5ml/gal of each) We called it "tripple threat" in parts of the bay area. and dunk the cuts all the way in a 5gal bucket. This was mandatory, by us when getting cuts from clubs around here. i refuse to get cuts from clubs anylonger lol
