Molasses would it make my buds taste better???????

all you want to make sure of when buying molasses is that its unsulphered, which it says in big ass letters in that label.. your golden..

I use grandmas unsulphured. that same stuff. The plants love it, it makes the buds denser, and if you ask me you get a more sugary taste to the weed...
I usually use a tablespoon per gallon ever time I water with nutes, and I like the results.

you are mistaken sir.

my first grow i didn't monitor the PH and i learned how important it is. once i got it stable and slighlty acidic my buds bulged in about 1 day.

i then found out about molasses and started adding that... the buds bulged NOTICEABLY within a few hours. the buds became thicker, denser, and stinkier...

what it does i don't know. but i'll 100% vouch for molasses and proper PH every single time, b/c i saw the difference my very first grow and i haven't looked back since.....

NOT A HYDRO GROWER. SOIL ALL THE WAY.

Molasses rocks the party. I used to use the grandmas, but then i switched to humboldt honey es which has molasses and a few other great things. I agree when its said that it helps. My buds are denser and taste better, i also use gravity which helps with the denseness as well.

Totally true. The carbs you are adding mostly help out with benefitial microorganisms in the soil. Hydro systems should be mostly sterile or at least very controlled when it comes to microorganisms - no real point in adding it in that case. I hear it gums up sprayers... as well.

I'm currently doing some testing to find out if it's all worth the trouble to use molasses. I only use biobizz nutes, some of which are formulated with molasses.....My buds always have a great taste and differences in strains are readily noted, especially vaping......I've got two Sweet Seeds Green Poison 'bout 10 days from harvest, one of which has been getting Grandma's Molasses for a month along with bio-bloom, topmax and bio-heaven.....the other just gets the nutes. After drying and curing, I'll have a definitive idea of any differences.

I found the Best & Cheapest place to buy Molasses is yer local Health Food Store . I just paid 75-cents a pound for Bulk Unsulphured Molasses . I bet that's 75% less that buying it at Wally-World ,,,

You can find gallons of molasses for growing plants at the local farm store (not hydro store) but farm store for REALLY cheap. Blackstrap and Breyer Rabbit are all great but you can pay cents on the dollar to get the unrefined stuff (actually better for your plants) compared to the store grade stuff. Can also find this at feed stores (for horses and such) for around the same price.

There are a few things that the plant will use when feeding it molasses, but the thinking that adding sugars to your grow will make the buds sweeter and frostier is WRONG. You will damage your plant with that kind of thinking. Leaves will yellow faster if you feed to much molasses, and the plants growth will slow down,...not good.
Make a tea,....I add 1 teaspoon (not tablespoon) of molasses per gallon to my compost tea. The molasses is there only to feed the "micro-beastie herd" I'm creating in my tea. You want those "micro-beasties" to be feeding, farting, crapping, and fornicating in there to create a "live" environment. Your plants will love this and love you for feeding them this tea . In bloom I add;.. molding hay, bat guano, earthworm compost, Alaskan fish emulsion (bloom), seaweed extract, cotton seed meal, hand full of Fox Farms soil, forest humus, and molasses. I brew in 5 gallon buckets 36-48 hours with an aquarium pump, pumping air itno the tea the whole time. I brew in my grow room, covered up from the light. Keep the tea room temp, not to hot, not to cold. I also mix the tea every time I;m in the grow room., not too much, but enough to get the stuff settling on the bottom.
I get great results using compost teas, and not just the molasses by it's self.

Molasses is awesome if you want to go with something thats more easier to manipulate go with hi Brix molasses. I use it for my teas and a carb loader, not only that but my buds go from a sticky feeling to a gooey feeling in about a weeks time.
