Moisture ....

Hello everyone I'm new here and i found this website a good one with good information.
I planted 3 auto plants 5 days ago outdoor and only 1 has sprouted, but i'm still waiting for the other two.
I got a question which has been scaring me of killing my plants... My moisture termometer says my soil is wet if i go with it deep in the soil, but then if i go a bit to the top ( which is where the plants roots shud be ) it goes to the dry place on the termometer.
This is worrying me as i don't know if the plants are doing good with water or not, do they absorb the water from the end of the soil?? or should i water my plants to be wet in the top?
I've been watering them with spray and rly low amount of water.
Also wondering if i can apply a growing fertilizer already or if shud i wait a bit? I'm thinking about using this BactoHemp for growing and then on flowering i want to use BactoBloom... My question on this is if on autos we can apply the groiwing fertilizer at like the 1st week already?

PS: Northern Light (2) and Skunk Mass are the plants and this is my first grow ever.

Thank you

You would normally sprout (germinate) your seeds in a cool dark place...this allows you to monitor the plants progress during its early life...the plant will seek out water itself and there is no need for fertilizer for a couple 3 weeks...try reading some material in the newbie threads...g/l

Mist or use an eye dropper to keep the soil above where you believe the seed to be moist.
I germ my seeds in soil in the solo cups, and average is 5 days, but sometimes 4.
Hopefully you didn't plant them more than 1/4-3/8" deep.
