Moisture question

hey guys can anyone tell me if the orange peel thing works to re-moisten ? if so how exactly does the process works ?do i throw a piece in my mason jars str8 up ? help me out guys

Does anyone no if you put the orange peel in the jar by its self or should it be wrapprd in something ?
