mixing synthetic nutes and PH

As an example if your desired ppm is 500 , I assume you mix the nutes till 500 then add ph after.
My question is do you mix, ph then water back down to 500, or do accept whatever the ppm is after adding the ph-up/down?

Don’t worry about the ppm additions from the ph balancing. What’s more important is actually the ppm of the water you’re starting with.
My tap is about 90 ppm and 7.2 ph, so if I wanted 500 I'd make it 590?
The ph up can add 150 ppm making it 650 instead of 500. So I wasn't sure if I should water it back down to 500 or water as is at 650.
Is there a point where too much ph-up will cause harm? Sometimes I need over 2 MLS for half gallon mix

The amount of ph solution shouldn’t be harmful to the plant, if the water parameters are correct. It may seem like a lot, but it’s being used to neutralize all the OH- ions in your water. Your tap water is also pretty good water with a nice low starting ppm. You shouldn’t have to worry about adjusting very much.
