Mixing (breeding) to differnt autoflowering strains

I've been quite happy with the purchases made from Short Stuff Seeds, however figure its only a matter of time before customs gets hip to the stealth packaging and I get my beans nabbed or worse. Here is the set up. Had one male Auto-Assassin growing in my dad's basement. Took pollen from that and made my MI-5 pregnant (took it away from the fan and just painted one small branch so the whole plant wouldn't go to seed).

The question - has anyone every tried anything like this before and if so what were the results? I'm hoping this will produce seeds that autoflower as my grow area cannot easily accommodate photo period plants (too small). Having grown most of the short stuff strains they seem like stabilized strains. I would have pollinated auto-assassin to auto-assassin if I had one ready for pollen but this was not the case.

Your thoughts and musings are welcome and will be taken into consideration. + rep for legit answers!

I'm doing something similiar right now....I have a AA lady at 5 weeks that I've used Lowryder 2 male pollen on a couple of the buds.....As long as you use a stable male to a stable female, I believe you'll get some good seeds. All the breeders so this all the time to get other strains and have all the fun of naming them.....why can't we do the same thing????LOL

I really hope that it will be a 100% autofloweer. im doing kind of a similar thing. I live in alaska and we never have a 12/12 light schedule till the middle of winter so I had to go autoflower however the only plant that can grow up here is northern lights and lowryder strains so i want to grow a male northern lights, collect pollen and mix it with a lowryder maybe a easyryder or maybe even a diesil ryder idk. but i hope that i will get 100% autoflowers or im fucked haha. I dont want to buy autoflowering northern light sseeds because there is only 5 of them and they cost the same as 10 regular northern lights and 1 lowryder. gaaaawd i hope this works. Do you know any medium height autoflowering strains with low odor

Ha, I'm also trying this out. Bought a pack of auto assassin, got 2/3 males so I harvested the pollen and will be pollinating a Qrazy Train and a custom strain with it to see what happens. I'm subbed up, I'd like to see what everyone else comes up with.

from what I've read if I want results, and I do, I will dry them out and let them cure inside the buds. I had to move the plant away to a fellow gardening enthusiast's house because I knew I would eventually start chopping on it when I wanted some smoke. My friend will let the plant basically die and get a ton of seeds for both of us.

Are you going to dry them out or plant them right away?

Just saw some seeds of my own starting to form, woohoo! Auto-Hashberry, my first experiment.
Hey Maximus,
at what age did you notice seed development starting and at what age did you pollinate?

I have a similar project going, I'm at 5 weeks today, cant really tell yet except the buds are quite tight for their age.

Thanks in advance,

I actually hit it with pollen in week 5 just as an experiment and I saw seed development in about 1 week, maybe 10 days. I'll snap a picture in a bit to show where they are.

This is a Short Stuff Auto-Assassin male crossed with Hashberry from Mandala seeds. I pollinated in week 5 and this is after about 2 weeks of development. I would normally have done this in week 3 but I didn't have the pollen until now and figured what the heck. My next AA cross will be done at about 3 weeks to give it more time.

In this case, I'll probably let that one branch stay on until the seeds are done and harvest the rest. I'm starting the flush on Monday and the big sleep next Friday.

Thanks Max,
I guess I should start seeing evidence soon. I put my male right in front of the fan on day 30, the four Onyx girls were covered in pollen in 48 hrs. They have slowed pistil production, I'm guessing because they don't feel the need to reproduce anymore.
