Misting Clones with Carbonated Water

I'm new to cloning and have been having some trouble getting it down. My first two batches took a long time (3 - 4 weeks) to root out of a small rockwool cube, and only had a 50% success rate.

I have them under 2 2' floros in a moisture dome and wick plain water from a small reservoir to the rockwool so they stay moist.

My current batch of clones is doing great, about 1 week in and there aren't roots out of the bottom of the cubes yet, but you can clearly see root tips growing from the stem just above the rockwool, so i'm sure there are roots inside the cube as well. The clones look healthier than the previous batches did at 1 week too.

I changed 3 main things, I now aerate the plain water reservoir with a bubble stone, I shook out the rockwool cubes before adding the clipping instead of letting them be soaking wet, and I mist daily with carbonated water instead of plain water.

Does anyone else use carbonated water on their clones? Actually, its labeled as sodium free seltzer water. The only ingredients are water and CO2. I got it for giving the girls a CO2 boost during flowering, but then I read a bunch on this forum about not misting flowering plants so you don't get mold in the buds. I maintain a constant vigilance against powdery mildew in my grow room (god bless H202), and I don't want to risk having it grow on the good stuff.

Since I made other changes at the same time I can't say for sure the carbonated water is the cause of the faster rooting, so I'm asking y'all if you've noticed misting clones with carbonated water speeds up rooting?
