Mirrors

A typical mirror reflects very well...but the majority of the light it is reflecting is superficial...that is, it reflects light we can see, but it doesn't reflect the type of light needed by plants very well. you would do well just to paint the walls of your grow room bright, flat white.

mirrors reflect rather than absorb light. In fact, they are near-perfect reflectors (95%). Too perfect, they concentrate light into pinpoints creating hot-spots that will burn and wither plants. If you are interested in learning more the property is specular reflectivity.

my opinion is mylar (92%) is best but expensive.
flat white paint (70%-80%) is a very, very, very close second best because it is also very reflective, cheap and comes in a heat proof/resistant version.

they dont produce the type of light that you want to grow with anyways. yet another case of someone setting the house on fire to b eing uninformed. thank god for rollitup. may we continue preventing future cases of this.
