Minimum amount of plants for a harvest a month?

I'm not into big business, just want a constant supply.
Is it possible to get a small harvest every month with only 2 or 3 plants?
I'm guessing it would involve cloning and 12/12.

i have a cycle that i pump out i plant every 2 weeks, the 12-12 from seed is a fast way to start., but i keep most of my plants in veg for about 30 days so i can take a few clones off it

so you already told people your going to be growing...
Took me a second to get your meaning there but, no.
There are 4 people in the world who know I am growing and it will remain so.
My friends will be blazing on my stuff in exchange for buying the pizza (as it should be)
I'm new, I aint stupid :P

with an 8 week flowering cycle you would need at least 5 at one time. 1 for clones then 4 in the flowering room (starting with 1 adding another every 2 weeks till you reach 4) Then adding a new vegged clone every time you harvest 1 plant.

It depends as much on light, environment, etc etc, and how much you consider a "small harvest". With a "small harvest" per month I would not have enough left to share with friends.

How about growing 2 plants first, see how much you get from it and if it's sufficient? You can then work out a schedule based on your setup and environment. Number of plants is rather meaningless especially when talking about small harvests. 12/12 from seed/clone is usually done with a larger amount of plants, to get more main buds and reduce veg time.

With only 2-3 plants I'd start from fem seed, plant twice the amount you need and use the most potent candidates.

Altho the maths from the previos response checks out, I think I'll stick to 2 plants as you say.
Which brings me on to another question that is hard to answer, when is the plant ready to take clones?
I've read to wait until branches are 4-5 inches and have 2 smaller branches on them.

So, did you add vegging time into this? What if I were to go 12/12 from clone?
