How do you all have your exhaust fans mounted.. I have a 6" ecotech Im goign to be using as my exhaust fan in a walkin closet and am curious how everyone is keeping the noise down and such.. I don't want the sound transferring so my neighbors can hear it....Any ideas would be great..

Just installed a rvk fan and screwed it directly into the side wall using the bracket provided, am amazed at how quiet it is compared to a friends whose fan is hung on chains from the ceiling.

I built a plywood junction box for several vent tubes and suspended the fan inside with small rubber vacuum belts and screw hooks

im referring to the last sentence in the post

"try using rubber grommets, sitting the fan on sound dampening material as well as hanging the fan with bungee/rubber cords so the material will absorb the vibrations!!!!"

you can also use some of the material around the fan to absorb the vibration bro!!!
