mid-size closet with 1000w hps

hello all,im looking to get some input on the setup i want to start working with..

i'v been working with a 400w hps in a sun tube with a 170cfm fan exhausting the room by blowing through the tube.

the closet is 600 cubic ft. i use half for veg with cfl's...that leaves 300 cubic ft for flowering.

i'v got some money to spent on lighting and i'm having a hard time deciding on a 600w hps or 1000w hps for the room...my biggest concern is heat,i'm in the southwest and temps inside with the A/C on are in the 80's.

the tube can keep the 400 well under control,im wondering if the 1000w will be able to have its heat kept in check in the tube with the170 cfm fan blowing through it or will my room temps be way out of control

i will be able to keep the light at least 18-24 inches above the canopy

anyone running similar setups? advice or thoughts would be great!

NO I think you will need upgrade your ventilation if you go with the 1000w.

I wouldnt try running a 1000w without upgrading your fans. It will be overkill

so the 600 will do the trick?

still might think about upgrading your ventilation system.

But if you have the chance get the digital ballast, they are a hell of a lot cooler. My 600 digi is cold to the touch, seriously cold. But my 1000w magnetic ballast hurts if i leave my hand on it for more than a sec.
