Alright so I'm on my first hydro grow, I have always used soil and was under the impression that microbes would not colonize in a chemical nutrient environment. I discovered I was wrong about a week ago since I noticed my roots felt slimy and even the bottom of my bucket lid, now the roots are yellowing and a few of the new tips are black. I've read heisenburgs thread and I really hope I don't have to make that tea. What I'm thinking of doing is buying a jar of great white shark, changing the res when it gets here and adding it. Do you think this could do the trick or is it going to take something more extreme. ----- Also I don't have a thermometer but I keep my 5 gal bucket in a larger tote full of water, changing out frozen 1gallon jugs constantly to keep temps cool, I also have 2 air stones in the bottom and my ph is at 5.8 using Ionic grow/bloom/pk boost. I've considered cutting most of the exposed roots off of the plant as well but the plant is just starting to flower. sorry for the wall of words
