MH fc8000 vs GC ROI-E720

hi eveyone this is my first post and im still a newer grower have just done closet grows with sf2000 spider farmer lights and have just done autos so far. im getting big boy gorilla grow tent and looking for best light for my main big boy tent. I see growers choice is fan fav good warranty American made all that and has good ppf but I see this new fc8000 mars hydro and im wanting to get away from these amazon brands but it looks legit. its ppf and umol is way more powerful than GC. on paper it looks like better option and also for a pair of lights ill save a good chunk of change but im looking more for best stuff now not just cheap get started stuff. I would like expert grower advice. what are y'all saying is it safe to go with mars hydro or go with growers choice and some reasons why possibly. I might just get one of each for shits. experts please tap in! also when it comes to buying lights do y'all go direct from manufacture or with sits like happy hydro and grow lights depo where prices are a lot cheaper.

Me personally I would go with the Growers Choice. I have the roi-e420 and love the light. It has great coverage and the ppfd is right up there with the best. Just my 2 cents. Just for context I also have a fc-3000 and in my opinion the GC is of better quality. But I must also say that Mars-Hydro makes a good product. I bought mine from Led Grow Lights Depot.

Neighbor bought the GC 720 and their smart controller. He noticed humidity readings were off and contacted Growers Choice. Not only no argument but they apologized for the inconvenience and sent him 2 more.

Go with Growers Choice in my opinion.

thanks skillcraft I really appreciate your feedback since you have both brands. I watched grow lights depo review vids and the mars hydro actually had significantly higher par readings well over 100 more on outer edges but I think im going to go with growers choice most for customer service.

wow that's incredible service and one of my doubts with buying from mars hydro. I got to ask is the controller worth it? im not educated enough to see the purpose for buying it. I know the light only comes with pre set levels of dimming and that's a reason to get it but would you mind telling me what controller is for. and thanks for very prompt response.

He’s running multiple lights in different tents but controlling them all with the controller. However at $300 I have seen fit to avoid buying one.
