Can one of these http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-AgroMax- 400w-Metal-Halide---6500K-Ultra-Blue-Daylight-Spectrum-Bulb.asp and these http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-AgroMax- 250w-High-Pressure-Sodium-Bulb.asp hook up to regular light sockets and work and can they grow a small weed plant just by them selves. No. They need to be screwed into a HPS (or MH) ballast. Many HPS ballasts can run MH bulbs. Combined, you could grow 4-8 plants. If you had to only buy one, pick the 400w MH
