Meth Inhibits the Flu

LMAO when I read the sentence at the end about tooth decay.

LAS VEGAS (CBS Las Vegas) – There might be a reason why no one on “Breaking Bad” gets the flu. Recent experiments with the drug methamphetamine shows that the drug acts as an inhibitor to the influenza virus.

Scientists in Taiwan were curious on how meth interacts with the influenza virus.

Using tissue samples of lung cells the scientists exposed them to different amounts of meth, and the results were surprising. Scientists found that the meth-exposed tissue samples had a reduction of the influenza virus.

The virus that was used was the H1N1 flu, or what is commonly known as “swine flu.”

Although the results could lead to new flu treatments it’s not good to self-medicate. Meth still reduces the effectiveness of the immune system and previous studies found that meth reduces the body’s ability to fight off diseases, such as HIV.

Meth is also extremely addictive and leads to tooth decay.
Nevada is leading the nation in meth addiction. Meth use in the state is 180 percent higher than the national average.

Your life will be over but at least you won't have the flu. Hopefully they can find a way to implement this without any of the other effects of meth.

LMAO must be George Bush's brother at 15 mins. He does act pretty normal for being addicted to meth, but you can still tell he's not right.

It's easy to call out some of these people for doing meth but a lot of them come from horrible pasts. Parents in jail or addicted to drugs, living in poverty/violent-filled neighborhoods, no guidance. Think about how your life would've been in some of these circumstances. To most of us, it's common sense not to do some of these drugs. But some people never had anyone there to tell them how dangerous and detrimental these drugs really are.

Also, if your life had no meaning or purpose and you spent every day of your life being miserable, drugs would seem LOGICAL. For them, it's what gives their life happiness, which is something they likely rarely experience. Seems it's either die or be jailed while being miserable, or die or be jailed while being happy.
