Measuring Up

A thought occured to me today while measuring the plants. Do you measure from the top of the pot or the bottom? It seems logical to measure from the top, I'd just like to know for a 100% fact.

Our tallest plant 18 days into flowering is 2' 1" or thereabouts. The others aren't far behind 2ft.
