Well I'm tryin to build my aero set up for 6x6 foot area but due to material costs I may have to go another route. I have a rail and a 1000(gonna upgrade to 2 600s later). My question is, would a rail and a 1000 cover a 5x8 ok? If so would I want the light close and give the 8 foot length good direct light or keep the mover a bit higher and more in the middle concentrating on 5-6 feet and use indirect lighting for the outer plants? The farther the movement, the longer one side loses light. My hood covers about 4 feet square of direct light very close to my plants. what would be the best way to utilize this in my 8x12 room??? Thanx guys

Yeah. You could run a 1kw in a 5x8 tent so long as the light wasn't more than 18 inches above the canopy given the width of the tent. The plants on the edge of the tent would be recieving the minimal light they require. I figured it out for my 76x76 tent the other day but I can't link you to that thread from my iPod

edit: here's the link. you may be able to get your light closer than the 18" i used there depending on the speed of your mover..

I'd say 4x6

thats what i have and quite frankly it is a couple of inches too wide. the 6' in length is good though.. not so sure about 8' long, but i run a 1000 on a mover and it covers the 6' just fine. i'd definitely not go beyond 4' wide though

I run a 1000 watt hortilx eye with a 4 foor vertizontal reflector and a 6' light mover, and I can light up the whole bedroom that I flower in.

12' long, 8' wide, 8' tall :)
