Maui Waui 150wt HPS two plant grow

im gonna go with either a 150w HPS , or an LED panel for flowering.. how hot does the 150watter get??.. nice plant by the way +rep

Thanks Spanky,,,just a single 150w HPS Sun Systems light. The two plants are in the corner of my utility room. My main hassle is that at 7am and 7pm I have to remove the plants and place in my darkroom or back to the utility room. For only two plants I guess no big deal. I'm more of an outdoor grower guy but like to experiment during the winter too.

Thanks,,,, It does get hot but nothing like my 1000 watter. I'm sure it does help heat to house somewhat. I got two of these used 150 watt lamps from a clone trade.
 
Have you used this method before successfully? I'm talking about you being the auto-timer for the plants. I personally don't see an issue with it if your timing is consistent but if something happens and you're not there, there could be trouble ahead. Do what you need to do but is there any chance of bringing the light with a good timer into either the dark room or that dark corner?

First time moving the plants from room to room. I think I was pretty consistent. Might have missed a few days that were off few hrs. What happened I had to get a new bed (back) and wife cant sleep in it (too firm). So my dark room turned into her bedroom and now my bedroom is the darkroom and is 100% dark. I cant use the utility for a dark room.
 
As long as it's working out for you. Hate to see such dedication and hard work go to waste. Had my second grow hermie last 3 weeks of flower due to era on my part. Broke my heart how I almost made it. Still a good smoke but I could have gotten better if I weren't such a newb.

I use two 150 watt hps sun systems lamps. They get about as hot as a 400 watt hps lamp. I grow in a closet that is 36" wide by 24" deep by 72" in height. I have trouble keeping the door closed because it will quickly get above 85 degrees F. I leave the door open and have a 8" fan mounted on the wall behind the lamps blowing towards the ballast and out the closet door. This keeps the temperatures at about 78 degrees F when the lights are on and about 70 degrees at night. If I had to shut the door I could only operate one lamp or I would need an exhaust fan for two. Just for reference its winter where I am at, temperatures between 0 and 32 degrees F, and I leave the thermostat at 65-70 degrees F.

My next grow will utilize T5 bulbs that don't put off so much heat.

This strain of Maui Waui I got was pretty potent to begin with. The local dispensary here sells the same clones you can buy their weed from. They produce all their own weed so you can buy and try before you get one of their strains if the timing is correct. No doubt if I fired up the 1000 watter I could have got more production.
