The smoke is sublime VH. Sweet, thick, syrypy with the undertone of maple. If picked at 45-50 days, the high is warm and happy that evolves into a deep relaxation. If allowed to go 60-70 days, the high is a deep/ heavy narcotic sensation that turns to a red eyed drunkeness with repeated hits. My wife uses this product on her bad period days. The smoke is smooth, sweet, potent and relaxingly eupohric. The first sign of MLI intoxication is a smile. Anytime I smoke it for the first time with someone, I look for the smile. Its an involuntary smile brought on by warm euphoria. There is no question in my mind that at least one of the parents of MLI is the strain that produced that hashish I smoked in the early 70"s. If you grow it and smoke it, your search will be over.
The makeup? VH, anyone that would claim this strain has been crossed with skunk hasn't grown it out and don't know anything about the plant. If you go to the sensi forum, strains and hybrids, you will see an extensive conversation about MLI and its composition between me and the sensi moderators over the strain and its makeup.
For the 4th time in 5 years, the sensi company has assured me of the following:
The 2 parent affies that Make up Mli, were taken from afghanistan in 1974, almost a full year before the russian invasion of afghanistan, which led to the destruction of 90% of Afghanistans hash making tribes and the loss of afghani strains that had been grown for many generations. Sensi has been vigilant in maintaining the parent health over this time. Maple leaf is a very rare strain VH due to that aspect and Seedsman nor any other retail seeder possess anything like it simply because they did not take a trip to affie before the russian invasion. Mli is the only afghani strain available with that pedigree and due to that aspect, MLI is a one and only on the seed market. While it is a hybrid cross of 2 afghani land races strains, the parent stock which were developed over generations in afghanistan came from 2 tribes that lived less tham 20 miles apart and the 2 strains were very similar in many effects. So much so that there is only 1 phen o to MLI and f2's are very consistent and look just like the hybrid.
