Mandala Seeds- Chill Om

Hey all! This past Tuesday I popped in four Chill Om seeds by my favorite and only seed company I deal with, Mandala Seeds.

As of this morning, two of the seeds have sprouted, and I would bet by end of day or tomorrow I'll see the remaining two pop up. So far of the two one is performing more vigorously.

They are in 4" pots, with seedling mix 75% and the bottom 10-25% being down to earth potting mix. My goal is to let them grow a couple weeks, depending on growth, in these cups and then transplant into a larger pot as needed. The goal is to have mother plants, and clones ready to roll by early July. I know I am pushing time, but I have backup plans if all doesn't work out for this outdoor season. They will eventually go into 10 gallon grow bags(which I may decide to just use nursery pots) and that will contain a super soil type mix for their weeks in flowering.

I am also researching compost tea products, as I actually work for a company that many organic growers likely use already! Needless to say I have my hands on amendments, soil, and fertilizer, organic, and extremely inexpensive, though extremely high quality!

I hope to get some followers, readings, and feedback givers! I have a lot to learn, and a lot to share!

Boogie brew is the compost tea I'm eyeing right now. It seems set legitimate, open source, and I plan to create my own using my resources from my workplace and community!

Let's do this!

-D

Detailed Description:

With this strain we offer a connoisseur quality smoke at an amazing price. Chill-OM is also a good beginner strain, delivering a satisfying yield with just basic plant care. It has all the benefits of hybrid vigour, nutrient efficiency, and the versatility of growing well under many different cultivation methods. Best results can be expected under a good light source such as HPS lamps, because the sativa genetics in this strain do require sufficient light intensity for abundant flowering and THC production. For further information on cultivation, we recommend that you read the advice offered on our Website in the extensive grow guides for Mandala strains and cannabis in general.

Chill-OM grows thick stems and has well-defined, yet space saving, branching to provide excellent cuttings. It is also perfect for sea of green or close planting. This strain shows some phenotype variation that is mainly expressed in plant height during flowering. The tallest females will be the best choice as mother plants if you are aiming for maximum yield. They can also produce bumper crops outdoor - with long central colas that resemble a giant bong. Shorter females are excellent for small spaces, or for the balcony in regions with warm temperate or hot summers. Of course, you can easily modify height by pruning down a tall plant, or raising a shorter one with an upturned container. If you are growing Chill-OM indoor from seed you should not exceed the 4 week vegetative period in soil. This will prevent issues with the unpruned plants of the taller pheno since growth is fast and strong. The max. height of a tall female under these conditions will be around 150 cm/4.9 feet under 400-600W HPS. Pest and mould resistance is good and outdoor plants have survival capabilities against harsher weather from wind or storms due to their robustness. Please consult the Outdoor Guide on our Website which regions are best.

Chill-OM easily compensates the lack of uniformity in plant height with it's exceptional top-grade marijuana. The buds are dense and have great 'bag appeal'. When crushed in a grinder, an interesting aromatic blend of frankincense and sage arises from the sticky buds. The smoke is smooth and rich, with a minty aftertaste on the exhale that leaves a pleasant freshness on the tongue like peppermint gum. Chill-OM strikes a perfect balance between potency and everyday enjoyability. After a quick cerebral onset it triggers the feel-good physical sensations. The high then reaches an even and motivating stone that is pleasantly relaxing, yet leaves you with enough energy for socialising or doing something creative. This marijuana can be fun for gaming, hanging out with friends. or watching a good movie. It's vibe is sensual and playful, enhancing the pleasure in whatever you are doing. As the name suggests, Chill-OM is perfect for laid-back hours and leaves a state of wellbeing behind. Have fun and chill out!

  • fast, robust growth
  • high mold, pest & heat resistance

Here we go! They are in a Homebox XS, 30"x30"x60", seedling heat mat, around 78F or so. Under a Lumigrow ES330, red is about 40% and blue is 60% on the dials. It's been hot so I'm keeping power down for the next couple days. After I have all sprouts and they seem to want more, I will dial the knobs up to 100% blue and maybe 80-90% red. Or just full power all around.

Chester! Thank you my friend! Mandala and their practices, and everything about them is wholly amazing. Everyone should practice the techniques they share. Less food, healthier more resistant strains, from landrace varieties bread in proper hands and techniques.

Booya!

I'll message you Chester and we can talk AACT!!

Well still only 2 of 4 out of ground. I need to give the two that haven't popped a little drink as it seems to be drying on top. I'm afraid I used too large of a container to start these in. 4" sq pots. I should've used something half that size or smaller. But it's ok. Plus I must say these seeds are several years old at this point, although I believe mandala seeds remain viable for years. Time shall tell. I would argue it's my method that failed opposed to the actual viability of the seeds.

Went poking around in the soil of the two that hadn't sprouted yet. One had not cracked at all, I re watered and replanted, but don't expect anything. Again, these seeds are old! Mandala has always sold 100% viable seeds in my case. The second of the two had a nice taproot on it, it simply appeared to be too deep. So I lightly covered it, gave it a little sip of water, and will await it's awakening!

Also, new seeds ordered!!!

Haha ok ok...

Mandala of course...

Point of no return
Satori
Kalichakra
Mandala #1

Then for more or less a good buddy of time, from greenhouse seeds, Super Silver Lemon Haze-fem only from GH seeds.

It also came with some free stuff cuz my order was over 100£. I forget right off, but a mix of fems and regulars! So that's cool...

I'm stoked! Each strain has a specific purpose for me. I'm excited!!

Lumigrow is going to warranty the repair. Meanwhile I am swapping out with an old 300w panel I have laying around. I believe it's hydro grow led. I may be wrong! 300w panel or what have you. From past experiences it actually outperforms the Lumigrow...I hate to say. At least in my case! I have two other lumi but have those listed to sell currently, so I don't want to run either of them. I have a good four or so more panels waiting if something fails, or I need to scale up or down.

Latest news on the plants:

None! Two up still. Doing well. May top dress with some soil because they are in 90% top layer seedling mix. I'm afraid they won't get to the bottom 10" before too much stress happens. I dunno. I think my seed storage was less than optimal, so I'm happy with my outcome thus far. Plus all the new viable goodies, I can toss these or give them away to another medical patient.

I am still betting I will see a 100% germ! Slow or not! It may quite simply be my germination method.

Peace

I am going to work on a better seedling mix. I think 10% base on bottom was not enough base. The rest being seedling mix and not nutritive enough beyond the sprouting stage. My idea was the tap root would eventually hit the bottom soil, in a week or so, and get further nutrition from there. They seem small, almost stunted. Although I've been checking them several times a day for the past few days. I'll snap a new pic for objectivenes.

So I'd like to join heads and work up a seedling mix. Suggestions? On this note, I am not a fan of beyond 1% perlite to a mix, 25% seems crazy to me, but maybe I'm stuck in stinkin thinkin!

Advice welcome, always...

Hopefully you can get the other two to pop. I had two chill om's and they didn't make it too far. They kind of half popped and instantly died. I had some bad luck with mandala. My kalichakra's got stolen and both my hashberries were male. i did get to make some seeds with the hasberry.

Sad times man! I will say these are several years old at this point. Fresh stock en route. But I had to start somewhere. There will be one dominant plant from the four, Er two I guess, and I will see what's up!
I'm going to start new seeds soon! I just need decent amendments. Working on that as we speak.
