Day 1. Just dropped my four Chill OM freebie beans in the soil.

Three of the Chill OM seeds have sprouted last night, C1, C3 & C4.
On the third day after putting the seeds in soil, C2 showed its tap root above soil and apparently turned itself around and headed down. I covered the root with a thin layer of soilless mix and sprayed to moisten. I expect it to take another day or two to right herself.
C3 needed a little help dislodging the seed which was completely encased around the cotyledons. Photo below shows the drop of water still remaining.
Off to a decent start.

Well, C2 never fully germinated. I dug him (trying to skew the M/F odds) up this morning and it appears he never fully emerged from the seed. I must have originally misread the white on top of the soil - probably a piece of perlite.
Anyway, the other three are doing well and remarkably are three distinct heights. All Are growing out their first set of leaves and are looking good.

Unfortunately, C2 didn't make it.Signs of life, Yankee! Sweet! Hopefully C2 will be able to correct itself.

Looks very familiar. Mine shot out at different rates early on. I thought that there were going to be a bunch of different heights. Now, over 3 weeks in, I have one that is a couple inches taller than the other three. I culled the one that gave me problems early on. It had an incredibly tiny stalk and was stretching badly. The indica phenos are also pretty stinky in veg, not that there's anything wrong with that.
Keep us updated.Mine need to be transplanted from the Solo cups, but I have to wait until company leaves. I would transplant at about 2 - 2.5 weeks if I grew this strain again.

End of week 1 vegging. Little ones have been getting just light, water and air circulation. Temps have been between 70*-78*F. Still three distinct heights, C1 is tallest, then C4 and C3. C3 has unexplained yellow leaf tips. No nutes, just plain, declorinated tap water phed to 6.4.
- Pretty fast starters
- Between 1.5-2.25" tall, 2.175-2.75" wide
- 2 sets of leaves, 2nd/3rd leaf of second set emerging
- Already developing a slight odor, very similar to a mint plant

End of week 2 vegging. Gave them a light feeding of EJ Catalyst & Microblast + Hygrozome this week to build up micro colonies int the root zone. Temps have been between 70*-78*F. C1 is still the tallest and C3 and C4 are now slightly shorter but the same height as each other.

- Between 2.5-3" tall, 2.5-3" wide
- 2 full sets of leaves, 3rd sets emerging
- C1 scent turning a little sour like a skunky-sage. C3 & C4 have a cleaner, mint scent
- C1 has longer leaves with sharper serrations. C3 & C4 more similar. May have two phenos emerging already.

Looking great! I've been very impressed with my Chill-OMs. They seem very vigorous and are handling my novice growing skill like champs. Yours will really start growing out now. I would look to transplant soon.
Mandala gear seems awesome and it's oh so affordable! I love that their breeding program is based on landrace strains that they collected in person over the years. True breeding and there's some great information on their website!

Thanks brewer, I plan to transplant this weekend into 1 gal pots.. Out of the three Mandala strains I am currently growing, the Chill are definitely the fastest out of the gate. I know I stressed the others a bit but the Chill also got too much light early on but seemed to be a tad more resilient to the stress. I always look forward to week 3 with any strain from seed - they grow noticeably every day!

Upcan to 1 gal pots. Quite a bit of root spin. This strain is a pretty aggressive vegger. Sprinkled a layer of Great White Shark on the hole sides and bottom before dropping in the rootball, then wet the medium with a mix of Earth Juice Catalyst and Micro + Hygrozyme + Superthrive.

Damn, Yankee. That's a lot of vegging plants!
Every day I'm more and more impressed with this strain. I can't wait to test the finished product.
It's amazing that Chill-OM is less than $30 for a 10 pack of seeds. If the smoke and THC content is as good as advertised, Mandala's got a winner with this one.

I hear that! Most of Mandalas strains get props for quality and are all reasonably priced. Glad I got a sample of the Chill as a freebie! Are your leaves as pale green as mine or were they early in veg?
