Males with female flowers?

Hey guys, so here's the deal:

I'm growing Zamaldelica from regular seeds. They started flowering two weeks ago. The males were the first to show sex, so I moved them away from the rest. Now I see that two of the males have about as many female flowers as male flowers. I thought that when plants hermy they start out as females and then throw out a few male flowers later on. With me, they started out male, and now, a week later, appear to be equally male and female. This is happening with two of the males so far. Two other males are without female flowers. WTF is going on? They are growing in a greenhouse, and the conditions are good (may get a bit cold at night).

PS: This happened to me once before with some plant from Sativa Seedbank, but that strain was shit, so I tossed it...

Sounds like you have a true hermaphrodite not just a stress induced hermie.
Plants are either male, female, or both. You have plants that are both. There is a big difference between a plant that has both sexes versus one that is female with just a few male flowers caused by stress or genetics.

Thanks for the reply! It is as I suspected. I guess this means I shouldn't use those plants for breeding...Not all that surprised about the hermage though...Zamaldelica is a hybrid of tropical sativas...

If I cross a non-hermaphrodite female with a male of a stable strain, is there a big chance that the offspring would hermy on me?

I guess if neither of the parents were hermies your chances would be better. All cannabis has the ability to herm on us, it's just nature.
