Male or female?

So how soon can I tell gender of these plants it’s my first grow

These are girls bro.

If they were bois, they would have round sacs growing at the base of the leaves.

Search on google for cannabis sacs.

As soon as you have changed lights to 12/12 might take 3-4 days to week or more. They are large enough to sex. A pinch or mild dose of Phosphorus will help this. Theres a chance they could show female now but youd need a close up of a node 3-4 nodes below the top. But there's no way to tell from those two pics.

Have patience. Those are no where near to showing sex. Also, most plants will show sex in veg when they're mature enough and ready to flower.

They are not girls. Or boys. They aint declared homie. Wrong.

The pollen sacks do not grow at the base of leaves they grow from the nodes axil. Very near where the leaf attaches to the node.

You can tell as early as 3 days of 12/12 whats gonna be what when youve seen enough.
Out here weve got acres of greenhouses to sex in a few weeks. Ive seen a few. Know a lil bit lol.

They are old enough to sex and reveg no problem. You are correct in that sometimes the females will show sex in veg. You will see that small slightly green white cunt hair or even when it turns brown.

As far as showing sex while in veg except for the female identification mentioned ive never seen it. Except for hermies. And in hemp a lot. I never plant full term without sexing seeds.
But sometimes a sneaky assed male made it thru. Always one of the last to declare and looked enough, like " oh i think its gonna be a girl with 85-90% confidence. Not anymore I have to clearly see that cunt hair or its not getting planted.

Yeah but likely there is a photo period change.
In nor cal and oregon that method will guarantee planting males. This method saves no time or space or resources. And just nice anecdotal story.
In the tropics most modern genetics kinda autoflower so it looks like that articles explanation makes sense.
Ive literally grown many 1000s of seedlings in tropics and many 1000s on west coat 100Ks if count hemp. And no one in the industry uses that to sex plants. Its just an anomaly likely and not saving any time labor etc.
But those acorns the male preflower is never seen until a photoperiod change or in hemp or cannabis with weak genetics in feminized seeds. That female picture is a calyx (?) with out a pistil. The pic below it showing the hairs you can see the calyx open and the two pistils below it. Which you dont get till late july or August during preflower or indoors within the first week 12/12. You will also see the leaflets right at the node below tbe calyx. Many people confuse a leaflet with a calyx. But the sexual structure, be it male acorn or a small calyx with tiny pistils grows from behind or very close to the leaflet. (I use a glass to more easily see when real small, can start sexing many days earlier). This misidentification of a leaflet for a calyx is how sneaky males make it in.
However I have been practicing sexing seeds. Not gauranteed to plant all females but 80-90+ percent females germinated.

The plant on the left has grown way faster than all the others and is starting to show signs of its sex. I by no means an expert and have googled cannabis sacs and this kind resembles a male. Any help identifying the sex would be appreciated. See below

That my friend is most definitely a male. Kill it and try again. And for your second try growing, learn about topping/training.

Its my first one I planted omg, are you sure it a male. I could put it in my other tent by itself for a week or 2 and see what happens?? Any thoughts

The three screen shots you posted are most definitely male. Id bet anything on it. Get rid of it before it blows its pollen load everywhere.
