making my own fertilizers.

I was thinking much about composting lately.
There are no organic amendments to be found except composted manure and humus around here. (no kelp, blood, bone meal, guano, dolomite lime etc. not even molasses)
And I thought to myself - whatever MJ needs should be in... MJ.
I have quite a bit of waste every harvest and I thought about composting it and using the compost as a fertilizer on another grow.

I don't know shit about composting but i've done my reading.

I will probably DIY some composter, it shouldn't be hard. (ideas are more than welcome!)
Also, It would probably be pretty darn small (around 5 liters) and contain a fan to circulate air SLOWLY for faster decomposition.

But I think mixing some more stuff in will help making it richer.
Also, adding some banana peals, apple cores and such should make things faster. And time IS important in my case.

I thought of adding:
*lots of dead MJ parts.
*some fast rotting fruit\vegtable waste to speed things up.
*ready earthworm castings to speed things up as well and to introduct some helpful bacterias. Plus, I have tons of it.
*Ground coffee waste - to help texture and might add some N.
*Half a cup of rodents manure if I can find some mouse/rabbits growers.
*Half the space filled with soil that was used to grow tomatoes in a pot with.

Anything else that I should put in?
I want to mix that compost with about 30% coco\perlite (which I have a LOT of) and that it will be sufficient for a 2 months veg time.

Then I want something for extra P and K as well to help in the flowering phase.
I know bone meal should help but how do I make it?
Can I just dry some chicken leftover bones, crush them and put them in the composter?
Is there anything else that I can use that I can make myself?

Are there other amendments that I should be able to scavage from things I probably have free access to?

For something this small (5 liters) you can't beat worm composting. The quickly turns your waste to great compost. There are lots of good treads here on vermicomposting.

I will check it out.
Thanks.

When I do find thoes worms and read thoes threads - what should I put in the pile?
