Making EWC Tea without Air Pump

Hi guys,
I am wondering, is it ok to brew (or I guess SOAK) earthworm castings in de-chlorinated water with no air pump?

Recently I made a batch of tea and let it brew for a day. The tea had a small film layer (usually a good sign that its aerobic), but never fully bubbled. I had about 1 quart left in my bucket and didnt wash it out. 2 days later, there was about a 2 mm thick layer of foam at the top.

Does this imply that the tea became "active" after 3 days of brewing?

idk about the film(never heard of it) yes you can make tea with no air pump, just be sure to give it a few good stirs everyday to oxygenate the water as best you can.

Yeah it's OK. Try to stir as much as you can though. I usually only let that mix sit for like 1-2 days. After 2 days, there is plenty of bacterial growth, nutrients leeched from the worm castings, and smell made to be used. This stuff stinks after 3 days of "brewing".

I don't think that you need surface buildup, or a stink to know this stuff is active. Just don't leave it there for 4 days or be ready to smell something awful.

yes good advive^^^ use your nose, if it smells bad then it may not be good for your plants

I agree that's it's ok. Just not great. There just to much benefit to aerating it. More oxygen to your roots and beneficials. Also helps break down your organic matter your brewing.

i just stir my shit sith a stick in a bucket lol i see way more bubbles when i add the myco shit !! i keep forgetting to buy a fat ass 10$ bag of worm poop ... fuck my life
