I am growing in a 4x4x8 space so its pretty small. I was wondering the best way to make CO2? Im not going to buy a tank or anything, i just want to know how to make it with vinegar and baking soda or whatever. Thanks for the help guys and gals!

IMO, it kind of depend on your ventilation system as to whether it'd be worth your time and effort.

If you're recycling your air, or drawing in very little fresh air, then definately give it a try.

In my case, I'm pulling in so much fresh air - it should be totally exchanging the air about 3 time per minute. I don't think that a DIY CO2 gen would be able to keep up. A tank might be able to, but again, with that much air turnover - there should already be an excess of natural CO2 in the fresh air.

As of now the only ventilation is openings at the top of the shed and around the door where air can just leak out. We open the door and fan it for a few minutes about 10x a day so the ventilation isnt a problem right now. How do i make one of those CO2 things myself? Whats best to use? Vinegar, baking soda, yeast? And how do i put all of this together and all that good stuff, thanks for the info!

vinegar and baking soda release all their co2 at one time while yeast water and sugar release it more slowly.

For a 2 liter i use 2-3 cups sugar to 2TBL yest with the bottle about half full of water. For a gallon jug 6 cups sugar to 2-3 TBL yest. Some people put the suagar in hot water to dissolve it but it needs to at room temp before adding yeast.

For some reason this is no longer working for me. I believe my bottle of yeast has been in the freezer too long or most likley its just too cold outside. My grow room has been hangin 45-70F so far and winter is just startin. Anybody know how warm a room needs to be for the yeast to stay active?

Carnonated water has pros and cons.It gives some co2 but can lead to spot burns from HID lights and can clog leaves if over done as dust or other impurities stick to the leaves and then harden but I had done it way back in my first grow.I dont know if it helped or not though lol
