Hello one and all!
This is a tutorial on easy hash making, the techniques within are derived from a few different styles taken from hash makers here on RIO. So here it goes, each step will have a photo. what u will need is highlighted in the steps.
Step 1 - After harvesting the bud off your plant, (im using white widow) trim away the big fan leaves into a throw away pile, all the small leaves should be trimmed into a different pile for making the hash, the more leaves with trichomes on them the better. (i used 3times the amount than whats in the picture)
Step 2 - Get hold of some Ice and a Jar or container thats transparent. After leeving the leaves to dry for a day or two put them into the jar and throw the ice ontop.
Step 3 - let the leaves sit in the jar until the ice has melted, usually over nite works well. one the ice has melted you will notice some trichs already forming on the bottom of the jar but a very small amount.
Step 4 - Seel the jar off tightly and give it a good shake for a few minutes then just stir the bud and leaves around for awhile and ull notice more trichs have sunken to the bottom of the jar after letting it sit for awhile. The theory is that trichs are heavier than water so when they become cold from the ice they get brittle and after shaking it around the trichs break off from the leaves and buds and eventualy sink to the bottom of the jar.
Step 5 - Add a few more ice blocks to the jar and push down any bud that is floating above or ontop of the water, then wait and allow the new ice to melt.
Step 6 - Get hold of a tea strainer and pour all the water from the jar, once its melted, into a beaker trough the strainer. ull notice that many of the trichs are still left in the jar and on some bud or leaves.
Step 6 - Put everything left over in the jar into a blender, then add 2 or 3 blocks of ice and turn the blender on up to high for about 30 seconds. Pour the mixture through the strainer agian and take all water that has been strained and transfer it to a transparent bottle. if the buds or leaves still have trichs on them then repeat the blending process a few time but use as little water as possible when doing so as to not add more to the bottle.
Step 7 - Once all the mixture has been strained into the bottle then add 2 or 3 more blocks of ice to allow the triches in the water to get cold and sink.
after a day and the ice has melted you will notice a nice dark ring patch at the bottom of the bottle.
Step 8 - take a needle and heat it up, then poke holes in a horizontal line about an inch above wher the patch has formed, this will alow all the useless water to drain out but leev the important stuff laying at the bottom. once the water has drained till the holes then make another line of holes just a quarter inch above wher the patch is.
Step 9 - So once all the water has drained after making the second holes then just leev the bottle by a window and allow the excess water to evaporate, may take up to a week depending on how much water is left.
Step 10!! - once the water and moisture has evaporated, cut the bottle off to piont wher the hash has dried and with a spoon scrape the hardened hash of the bottom of the cut off bottle, tap the bottle occasionaly to allow the poweder to gather in one place. Then just put it on a peice of paper and THER YA GO! Kiff powder! ready to smoke.
If you want it in a solid form then just put the powder between some brown paper or grease free paper and then use a hot iron and hold it ontop of the paper, hold it on for about a minute and then off for a minute to cool down, check the hash from time to time and ull soon see it starting to combine together then just repeat until all the powder has combined into a solid flat peice. from there you could mold it anyway you like just keep it inside the paper and heat it up to make it keep shape.
And Thats pretty much it. Here are the pictures. Have fun testing this out, i smoked some just before writting this and it was great!
