Major smell issue with filters

Hello all, this is my first time posting. I am just harvested my 4 jtr plants and I'm having a major odor problem. I have had a slight problem with it during flower but now you can smell it all around the outside of the house. I have a 7x11 ft room with pro120 carbon filter in my room with a 8" inline fan scrubbing, as well as a 4"x8" phat filter on a 4" vortech fan upstairs and it's still stinks. My question is do the ona jars work? I had a guy come to look at my roof and as soon as he got out of his truck he had a big smile and said it's all good man I grow too. That scares the shit out of me and I need to get this under control. Any help would be appreciated!

Obvious question, but is the room fairly well sealed? Do you think the odor is getting past your filter system, or is the odor seeping out of the room?

The room is very well sealed. I do have a ac unit but it's a active air that has the double tube system so it's not supposed to let any smell out. I think my filters just are not keeping up.

The next obvious question - when was the last time you changed them?

Did you do all harvest work inside the tent? It tends to be the toughest smell time for me. But I chop, trim etc, outside of the tent. A good vacuuming with carpet fresh helps alot, but your problem seems worse.

They are only about 6 months old. Yes I did all the harvesting and trim in the room. The odor seems like it has went away for the most part now so I'm hoping it was just because of me being in and out of the room during trimming and it just lingered for awhile. But for future reference does anyone know if the Ona jars work well?

Ok well I will get another carbon filter and replace the ones I have and see if that works. I hope that $500 in filters would do the job lol. Thank you all for the help, much appreciated.

Ona gels work pretty well but wouldn't be enough for the issue you seem to be having.. I lay out ona on a baking tray with a fan blowing on it during trimming and it seems to neutralize the majority of the odors, smells like I'm doing laundry!

Ona works well get a five gallon bucket drill holes in it all around except the bottom of bucket .pour ona in bucket put lid on bucket purchase a small fan from Walmart cut out hole in lid to fit small fan place fan on hole turn on fan your hole room will be smelling like fresh linen

I like phresh filters.

Are you running the fans full speed? I had a similar problem and I had to use a variac to slow the fan. The air was moving to fast over the carbon. Just a thought.

Also cutting and trimming is the smelliest part.

I may try the bucket trick with ona during trimming and for a few days after. I also will put a speed control on my fan to see if that helps. I'm running about 770 cfm through the pro100 now. I have looked into the can filters but haven't pulled the trigger to buy one. The filter I have is about 4ft tall and 14" in diameter so I figured it would've been enough. I think besides the filter in the room iam going to buy another big fan and filter for the rest of the basement and eliminate the 4" upstairs. I miss spoke earlier in the thread I have a pro100 filter not 120.

I know you think your room is sealed, so did I. Then i taped up a sheet of 3 mil plastic wall to wall, ceiling to floor with good duct tape and holy crap, i ton of air was being drawn thru, tiny spaces in the windows and underneath the walls. I made sure to seal all that. I have had only a slight smell outdoors, like when the wind blew just right you might get a little whiff. I also matched a good intake fan so there is not so much negative pressure in the room. Also keeping everything in the tent and controling intake air has helped, no slight whiff anymore.

drying/trimming is when the smell is worst, put a high powered fan on a carbon filter and run it in the room where u dry to scrub the air. my house always reeks when its drying. If this is your problem your best alternative is to but a few huge Tupperware containers and dry the product with humidity control patches
