hi
a very general question and I'm sure everyone has their different ways, but I'll welcome any advice from more experienced trainers.
for years i just pinched the plants and let them do their own thing, until I switched to RDWC and in lockdown I had enough time on my hands to experiment with mainlining/manifolding. I really enjoy the process and have had some great looking plants that are easy to harvest with zero popcorn, only downside is recovery time and extended veg time.
During this painful year of learning RDWC, (previously flood and drain), I've never had the best roots always fighting some root issues, so yields not been great and was about to throw the towel in. I think I've finally nailed it down to the quality of my water (now RO and UV filter) temps too high and choice to nutes.
So moving forward with my next crop i want to get it right, what are peoples thoughts? Is mainlining worth it? should i just top once? or FIM? Scrog seems very complicated though i have got a net set up just to hold up the girls when they get top heavy.
I have a 15 pot system each plant is 2ft between them and plenty of room to grow up tall
thanks in advance
