Main lining

Hey main lining my plants to make better light room any tips or tricks, in 32L pots being fed biogrow with activera and bio heaven being used once a week, under 2x 250w leds dimmed to 80% right now also 6 weeks old

Seem to be doing alright.

But get your power extension off the floor and mounted on the wall

I really don't understand what the difference between mainlining and LST is. Anyone want to enlighten me?

With lst the goal is taking away apical dominance and creating a Bush.

But with mainlining your using lst and selective pruning to create a specific amount of colas which all have an even amount of energy going in to them to create very even symmetrical colas.

You remove everything but those.
It looks lovely and is a good way to fill space for yield but is time consuming .

Also it works best from seed.

I sound like a One Note Sally but my advice is to spend $32 to get a Uni-T light meter and use the attached document to get your grow to its light saturation point.

The drag racing expression is "Ain't no substitute for cubic inches.". When it comes to increasing the yield of a cannabis grow, "Ain't no substitute for hitting the light saturation point". That really rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?

Nutes are not food to a plant. Light is how a plant makes food and growers routinely don't give their plants enough light for the plant to reach its genetic potential. It's tough to see growers spend a lot of time nurturing their plants and then ending up with a yield of X grams when the could well get 2X by turning up the dimmer.

This table is derived from the paper I've cited. For a change in 50µmol, the yield from the strains that were being grown increased by the 5 in the ∆ column. Those look like small percentages but moving from, say, 700µmol to just 800µmol, yielded almost a 10% increase.

That sounds like what I did with this one.

give it some time, I'll do! Healthy plant, nice spreading, quite a good pot installation too

Exactly that!!

Looks good. One thing I like to do is use the wire as “spreaders” spreading opposing branches across the center instead of tying to the side. It makes top dressing and watering easier.
