magnesium deficiency/lockout??

a few of my plants (outdoor soil) are showing what i think are signs of a magnesium deficiency.. some of the leaves curl upwards, almost standing straight up and some of the new growth is curled/twisted... will adding epsom salts to their water solve this, and should i be concerned about nutrient lockout? a few of the plants also suffered nitrogen burn earlier, and i was wondering if this was somehow connected...

It's possible that the nuteburn led to nutelock,(from the excessive nute levels) which then led to the magnesium deficiency. If you are correct about the mag, I can see that being likely. :)
