Just getting back up and running with a new set up. This is my first time using coco so I wanted to make a journal to document my progress and get advice.

The set up
24x48x60
2x mars hydro ts 600 A third is on its way.
2x alibaba blah blah led
4in in-line fan with carbon filter and home made carbon filter. Sucks in through one filter and blows out through the other outside of the tent. Another is on the way so blow fresh air into the tent. This will also have another filter added to filter air inside and outside of the tent
2x 3.9 gal autopots
Roots organic soiless mix
Nutrients- Canna coco a and b
Strains-
GG# 4
Somango XXL Auto from nirvana

I just Started to germinate the GG#4 which will veg On 18/6 until the Somango XXL Auto finishes it’s life cycle. That’s when I’ll switch the GG#4 to flower. My last run every time I opened the tent in flower the entire building stank so I’m going to be adding another fan and filter. With the autopots I also won’t have to open the tent to water. I also switched to a tent with a window so I can look through the window to check on them so I don’t have to open it. Using my noggin this time around lol stay tuned for live updates. I appreciate any and all input and advice.

The GG#4 actually has a tail popping out already. I’ll take that as a good sign lol

The mars hydride lights! Very efficient and gives me dense buds. At that price point, it's hard to complain

Still pretty boring BUT there’s already some roots sticking out of the bottom of these 2.6 liter pots i started them in. popped out of the coco on Monday and it’s Sunday so I think that’s not bad. I’m happy with it. Once it’s root system is big enough I’ll transplant it straight into the pot and be able to use the autopot system for watering. I know I could have started it straight Into the autopot but this is my first time in coco and not using ph balancing nutrients so I just wanted to mix small amounts and hand water until I’m comfortable mixing the whole Rez and the plants water needs go up.

Transplanted into the autopots. I also have a second GG#4 going just in case my seeds don’t show up. Modern problems require modern solutions.

She looks very happy

Started trying to do a little early training. If my autos ever show up from nirvana this baby will be vegging for a hot minute. I definitely wanna be proactive with training but I don’t think I’m going to do as much defoliating as I did on my last grow where I lollipopped everything

Making progress. I’m debating on topping it now or waiting a few more nodes.

Picking up steam now. Started training and now just topped. I have it bent so all the branches are the same height. She’s got a lot of vegging left to do. Also had a fan leaf break off which was sad but not a huge deal.

Wound up breaking both of the branches that I topped at. (The new shoots) so now I’ve got a short stocky thing. Bigish branches and stalk so I’m hoping it just pumps everything into those. I’m not messing with it anymore, just letting it grow. She still looks healthy. I definitely brought a big home from work with me and it’s been eating it. Put some sticky strips up and hopefully it stops.

Decided to go ahead and clean up the inside of the plant. I only defoliated fan leaves that were sticking into the middle. Now the entire middle is open to light. I might try to tie down the bigger branches and let the smaller bud sites below them catch up. I might as well, she’s still got a ton of vegging left to do.

How u liking the coco so far? Once I made the switch I never went back. Just a tip tho. On time I mixed my coco with some good rich soil ( less than half) and the plants seemed to like that along with a bit of perlite although the perlite isnt neccessary

I think it comes down to the micro nutrients that the soil naturally contains where as the coco has absolutely nothing to offer the plant.

I’m honestly really loving the simplicity of the autopots. I’ve had it running for a few weeks now and have only had to adjust the water once. Rez started at quarter strength nutes. Canna coco a and b and two weeks in I added some jacks professional cal/mag And some R/o water because my ppms were crazy. Still haven’t added any more canna coco or anything. And she still looks happy with it. Been thinking about pushing her a little bit. Maybe once the Rez empties I’ll feed her heavier
