see all of those white hairs in that one spot?? they are the begining of buds, known as pistils, and males don't bud, nor do they have pistils, there for he is a she.. :)

let me try and find this thread i always recommend to new growers m8.. it's called 101 already asked questions, and is a pretty good read..

all i can recommend is read everything that you can m8.. it's one of the best ways to learn other then getting in there and doing it yourself..

you can really clone any time you have a branch that is big enough to clone.. i'd say about a month or so from seed would be big enough to clone from...
and cloning is no different then taking a cutting from a house plant the way your wife probably does it.. :)
