I just upgraded my old magnetic 400 watt refurbished econo ballast off ebay to the latest edition of Lumatek 400 watt straight from the hydro store.
Wow! The damn thing is definately 30 percent brighter. Plus no sound at all, plus no heat.
Plus I got this awesome reflector on craigs list that is vented 2 feet wide and 2 feet long with sunsystems plugs on it. Sunsystems plug fit perfectly with the Lumatek ballast. Just plugged right in. My old system I had to rewire myself. I was up and running in like 5 minutes.
This is far greater than I thought. I debated going for a 600 but I only plan to flower 3-4 trees at a time in 5 gallons and since no knocks at my legal anyways door and the power bill is mysteriously sky hi with my refurbished 400 i thought i would give this a shot. After all on my last grow I light bleeched my nugs and the other nugs were fine.
So it is a damn good deal I have to say. Mine is the purple one.
Oh, yeah, no RF interference at all.
