lumatek 600w bulb.lifespan

Hi does anyine know the real lifespan in hrs fir a lumatek bulb run on lumatek digi ballast.it says 30,000 hrs on the packet that cant be right its bout 3 yr.i think.it always says to change bulbs every 3 months usually.am i missing something. dont wanna hurt the girls

Every 3 grows or 12 months is what I've read is recommend for HPS bulbs.

I'm using a 400watt HPS, not sure what brand. Still on my first bulb. I'll change mine every 3 grows. They're only £20. Just going off what I've read.
