LSTing: trimming fan leaves for more tops exposure

Before I started growing, I looked up alot on lst'ing and how it helps expose the lower nodes to light, growing more tops.

On one of my mothers, I tied down the stem and successfully grew quite a few tops from it. To maximize the light exposure, i trimmed the fan leaves on the main stem that was between the light and the nodes below it. It seemed fine and successful at the moment and didn't pay it much mind.

Now, these tops grew about a foot or so and I decided to tie all of them down with them pointing in different directions, looking like a spider's web horizontal to the floor. At this time, I again trimmed the fan leaves pointing upwards that were shadowing the nodes below.

This should be fine right and probably the process of lst'ing?

I've been reading that the fan leaves are where the plants feed and get their energy from. Hypothetically, if I cut ALL the fan leaves off and left the leaves of both the young and old tops, it shouldn't do much harm right? I'm guessing that it may slow growth but would feed through the remaining leaves on all the tops until it bounces back and improve air circulation too.

dont cut all the fan leaves just try to tuck them b4 cutting them, and if you do cut just cut the part of the leaf thats in the way,not the whole thing, your plant will grow without fan leaves but i dont recommend it,once they are in flowering they are not needed as much, but i would leave atleast a couple
