LST went from bad to worse.

A month ago I put a purple punch into flower and right before it i did a LST to further spread the cannopy out. I cracked the main stem down the middle about half an inch so I tied twine around it to keep it from cracking futher. Well after weeks of work and not remembering to take it off the plants stem consumed the twine making it impossible to take off with out further damaging the plant. Will this kill it in the next few weeks? Bud development has seemed to slow down in the last week or 2 and orange hairs are developing. I know this can kill trees but will this kill a shorter life plant before desired harvest?

Only reason I'm concerned is due to how slow the growth is compared to the last time it was grown and the obama kush is the same age with double the density.

lol, i almost did this exactly thing with some wire I used to tie down a couple of stalks once. Forgot about it for a couple weeks and the plant had almost grown over the wire entirely. I managed to remove them without hurting the plant further, it never healed those scars however, but i don't think it affected the overall health of the plant either. I think you'll be ok, these plants are pretty resilient.

I think it is doing the best it can after being stressed early in flower. Let it grow and take good care of it. If it yields less you know why... forgive yourself brother and move on.

Thanks for the info!!! Yeah it seems to be doing well, especially compared to the bruce banner im doing a run on. So far the purple punch has 0 defficencies, 0 signs of early catabolism. It couldn't take up nutrients better. I had the same issue with the bruce banner plant but the crack was much less harmful and the twine was never needed. The bruce us slowly eating its self and yellowing long before decent bud development but at the same time showing signs of nute burn. Im not sure if its a root bound problem or not. I was feeding it low amounts of nutes till it stated showing signs it was lacking nitrogen then I fed it more trying to aid the issue. All plants have been in flower sense November 5th.
