LST or natural growth

Saw a couple people on here saying to leave your plants alone and let them grow without any training or trimming but everywhere I read says LST is the way to go anybody got opinions and reasons why ?

A lot of people will say leave them alone, buy most are referring to defoliating.

The thing about training is you get more of your plant at an even level which means more of it is getting the same light intensity so dense buds all round, that's the idea.

If you grow a 5ft plant with a main cola your going to get a huge chunky main, which looks great but can also cause problems with mould. Plus when it gets broken down its not a massive cola anymore, nobody wants a 6 gram stalk in there baggy.

Take the same plant and top it and you have a 3ft plant, 4 colas slightly less chunky but all dense because your light can be lowered to give even intensity.

Ive tried both ways. And id say its really up to you and how you want your grow to go. Because I dont mind the extra time for a trained plant I tend to go that way so it limits bud size discrepancies for me. Million reasons to do both but seems preference based.
