Im currently looking at the HI 2500 by hanna instruments http://www.hannainst.com/usa/prods2.cfm?id=006001&ProdCode=HI%202500. I have two ebb and grow systems by cap that are side by side. Id be interested in a controller that could controll both sysytems but the only ones ive found are too big and pricey. If anyone has used the HI 2500 or any similar system by any other companies information and or reviews would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I would never put my babies life on the line with that thing, no offense I like to see and check it myself rather then to think something is doing it correctly only to find my babies dying.

r1tonys right, to many variables to go wrong, especially for how fast you can lose your lady. Get down in there, so you know the sweet love that she needs.

I understand what you mean. im not looking to buy it out of laziness. We've all had the experience of balancing our solution and then comming back to find them way out of whack. Im more looking to ensure consistancy. Ill still be down there everyday. again any experience with these type of controllers would be appreciated. Thanks

Though to be fair, you've already gotten a reputation for always being negative.

Here's the thing. I don't have any experience using it, and with all new equipment your going to be taking a risk. But guess what? Anytime you add ANYTHING new to your grow your taking a risk. My suggestion, if you want to get it and you think it would be in your long term interest, go for it. But for the first grow, second guess the hell out of it. If after the first grow you see it would have done just find without you, your good to go, if not, you're there to catch any mistakes it makes. Either way, you should be good. But be wary of someone that tells you nothing but negative without any solid reason, fear tactics don't exactly count.

I can give you some insight on an automated system, most places that use these type of controlers still moniter the system, some several times a day others may check hourly, they are usually installed to save money on the product that is being used, may it be nute solution or some other chemical being used these same type of controlers are used in many applictions not only for hydro,I work with several types of automated injection systems and trust me these controlers are not perfect by no means and monitoring them is crutial because when they do malfuntion it can be a disaster I know first hand.so if you do buy one make sure you still check it at least 2 times a day just to be safe peace and grow on

I'm sorry, but don't listen to them. If u have the money, and ur not hurting and ur growing in hydro, u HAVE to have one. Of these meters, have to. Since when can u eyeball ppm??? If. U can afford it, get it. U have to also know the temp of ur res. Ur plants will thank u for it, other than shooting in the dark, and. Also ur wallet, since. U don't add nutes to every feesing. But. How do u know with out a meter? I have hanna hi-98129
I think they're talking about controllers, that make adjustments to your reservoir by themselves.
I'm sure he's got a EC/TDS meter.
