looking for someone who has used an ionizer/carbon filter

I just spent about 30 min lookin round at diff threads but can't find anyone who will admit to using an ionizer and if it actually works.

If i was to use a carbon filter (i have no way to exhaust my air without huge leaks) can i set one up in like a 5 gallon bucket with a fan on top in the center of the room? (with holes in the bottom to let the air out)

would pulling the air though activated carbon do the trick?

As long as it filters through the carbon it will reduce odor,

(i have no way to exhaust my air without huge leaks)??What do you mean??

its impossible for me to exhaust my air through any single (or multiple) duct work. (ex a 6 inch line that sucks the air out of my grow room)

its an open space and i don't have the money (or the room) to build some kind of enclosure to surround it

Ohh ok yeah its fine then just put intake above your plants,kinda like this check out this crappy pic I made as an example
