hello again roll it uppers.

i have an ambition. to open a small restaurant in my area.
i have been a chef for nearly 20 yrs. i can cook..
i want to sell ribs and wings. using a simple high gross profit menu,
homemade bread daily, a simple salad, a compound salad for vegetarians ie (mixed/varied/substantial)
and as said, chargrilled ribs and wings. maybe a specials board.
simple eh??
i think it would work.
i would eat there.
my thoughts are on easy dining, no cutlery apart from wooden recyclable forks, tables with slots for bones, hand wipes....
bill please!!!
i have a name.. stickys!! what do ya think?
if anyone has any thoughts please chip in..
i dont have the money at the moment, and am only in pre-planning stage, but would welcome opinions or ideas that you have seen work especially from the US and Cannaduh where i hear you love RIBS..

thanks for reading..
off to ave a fatty..

sounds like a good idea to me. the problem is that a restaurant is s o much work. you also have to always have fresh ingredients or you're going to use frozen? i personally only eat freerange chicken so i wouldn't eat any of the meat there but most people would. cornbread? maybe a fish sandwich? :)

sounds like a good idea to me, i love bbq joints, the more casual the better at a bbq and ribs joint. and any ribs Jane doesn't want ill eat =)

I think you should include some sorta chicken meal to appeal to all. Beer can chicken anyone?

either cater to the carnivores or the rabbits , i don't think its a good idea to try and get them under one roof

hell yeah chicken wings!
small menus wouldnt put me off as long as the beer menu is large.
Micro brews are the best, so if you have several of those on the list i think id make it my home. :)

On the east coast of US, we have a chain called sticky fingers, which seems to be the kind of place your looking to do. I tell you what, their ribs are awesome, same with wings. They even have their sauces on grocery store shelves now. Look them up online to see their menu options as an example.

What are your menu prices looking like? And I suggest picnic tables for dinning, with each table having it's own garbage can or bucket to toss the bones into

havent got prices or suppliers sorted yet. picnic tables eh? good idea. im thinking of geting a carpenter to make tables, trellis style -esque, with as you say table buckets/bins for self disposal..
going out today to view some premises already licensed to sell food.. check out the competition and brainstorm marketing ideas..

one idea.... t-shirts available loyalty/stag or hen party/sale saying..

'I'VE HAD MY FINGERS LICKED @ STICKYS' FOR ADULTS
' CAUTION- STICKY FINGERS. FOR KIDS..

It actually may be cost effective to give every customer a big bong hit when they walk in
you'd sell out of ribs and beer every night.
Johnny law may have an issue with the business plan but..............think it over

You need some kind of dessert, two options, cause people always wanna binge eat. Its easiest to go with a brownie with a scoop of ice cream for option 1, and just ice cream option two
